Porsche 911 (996) Turbo 

 

This website is a basic website for anyone interested in the Porsche 911 (996) Turbo who would like to see some pics and read the specifications of this wonderful supercar.

I have driven Porsches for some 25 years, and am still going strong! My current car, a 2003 996 Turbo, is my 7th Porsche. I had a break from owning a Porsche for a few years whilst I was working overseas, but otherwise I have owned a 911 of some sort for the last 17 years. Prior to 911s I owned a 924, which was my first Porsche at 23 years old, followed by a 944 and then 944 Turbo, before buying my first 911. I have only owned 911s since, with my last one a 996 Carrera 4 with GT3 aerokit.

I will change my current car, this 996 Turbo, next year (2010) for a 997 Turbo, which will be my last Porsche. Family pressures, and nearing 50 years old, will see me migrate to a Bentley GT, or something similar. Not sure a Panamera appeals to me as yet, but we'll see in 2 or 3 years...

As mentioned above, this is just a basic website, knocked up by myself, a self-confessed Porsche fanatic. It is not meant to be flash, or anything special, but hopefully the spec page will be handy for those who are looking for the spec/power/figures etc.

I work in the City, and was a trader (still am as hobby). I now work on the corporate finance side of the wall, but do like to play with Forex trading. Hence one or two introduction links for spreadbetting and a tight-spreads platform run by Dukascopy that I think is excellent. Anyway, that's not the priority here - enjoy your Porsche!
